Business Banking at Provident
Below is important information regarding the transition to your new Provident business accounts and services.
Accounts
Each of your Lakeland accounts automatically became a Provident account on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. If there’s a different account that you prefer, just give us a call or visit your local branch, and we’ll help you choose an alternative. To learn more about Provident’s wide range of accounts, please visit provident.bank.
Account Numbers
We have worked diligently to maintain customer account numbers. If we needed to make a change to your account number(s), we have notified you.
ATMs
Beginning Tuesday, September 3, you no longer have access to free ATMs through the Allpoint® ATM network. However, you can use any Provident ATM in our expanded network of more than 140 branches free of charge.
ATM/HSA Cards
Lakeland ATM and HSA cards were reissued as Provident Debit Mastercards® in August. If you have not received your new card, please call 800.448.7768.
Business Loans/Lines of Credit
Your former Lakeland business loan and/or line of credit transferred to Provident on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, with no changes to your current terms or conditions. Please note the new payment address provided on your first loan statement after Tuesday, September 3. Automatic payments will continue uninterrupted. Note that loan information will be reported to Experian monthly beginning September 30, for all U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loan customers, in accordance with SBA’s requirement.
CDs
There are no changes to the current rate, term, or maturity date of your CDs. At the first renewal on or after Tuesday, September 3, 2024, your CD will automatically renew at the same or closest term offered and applicable rate/APY in effect.
Checks
Continue to use your existing checks. We'll send you new Provident-branded checks when you place your next check order. If you order checks from a third-party vendor, be sure to provide the Provident routing number: 221272303. Check orders may be subject to service fees.
Credit Cards
You can continue to use your Lakeland Bank Visa® business credit card through the expiration date. When your current card expires, you will receive a new Provident Bank branded business credit card.

Debit Cards
You can continue to use your Lakeland Bank Debit Mastercard® through the expiration date. When your current card expires, you will receive a new Provident Debit Mastercard.
Deposit Statements
You will receive a final account statement from Lakeland reflecting activity through Friday, August 30. Monthly service fees, if any, will not be charged for the month of August. You will receive your Provident account statement at about the same time as you receive statements currently. Business Savings statements will be moved from quarterly to monthly, and be received at month end.
Direct Deposit/Automatic Payments
Your direct deposits and automatic payments using your new Provident account will continue uninterrupted.
FDIC Insurance
The FDIC provides a six-month grace period, which began following the legal date of our merger, May 16, 2024. If you were a customer of both Provident and Lakeland, your accounts will be insured separately through the FDIC until six months after this date.
For Certificates of Deposit (CDs), FDIC insurance will continue until the maturity date, even if the maturity date comes after the six-month grace period. For CDs that mature during the six-month grace period, if you roll over your CD for the same term and in the same dollar amount, it will be insured separately until the new maturity date.
Nonetheless, you should plan to speak with us. We may be able to link your accounts to help satisfy any minimum balance requirements and review the ownership category and titling of your accounts to ensure that you continue to qualify for the maximum FDIC coverage allowed by law.
Investments
If you had an investment relationship with Lakeland Financial Services, a Provident Investment Services financial advisor contacted you to complete your transfer paperwork.
Securities and insurance products are offered through Cetera Investment Services LLC (doing insurance business in CA as CFG STC Insurance Agency LLC), member FINRA/SIPC.
