Can you tell me more about Provident?
For more than 180 years, Provident has built an exceptional track record of strength, stability, and integrity. Our personal banking products are designed to fit virtually any financial need and budget. For business customers, our lineup of banking, lending, and treasury management services are among the region’s finest. With the addition of Lakeland, we have $25 billion in assets and more than 140 branches, making us the second largest New Jersey-based bank. But we will also be the first to tell you that numbers alone don’t define us—rather, it is our determination to create memorable experiences for our customers, a strong social impact within our communities, and innovative ideas that make banking easier and more rewarding.
Will this change bring me any new services or opportunities?
In addition to a much larger branch network, our combined organization brings you an even broader range of financial services. At Provident, you're able to integrate personal and business insurance services into your overall financial plan, thanks to the specialists at Provident Protection Plus.* Additionally, Beacon Trust* provides a comprehensive suite of wealth management services, including investment management, financial planning, tax compliance & planning, and trust & estate administration.

When can I start banking at Provident branches?
You can now bank at any Provident branch and ATM in our expanded network. To find your local branch, click here.
Can I still get cash from any Allpoint® ATM location without charge?
You no longer have access to free ATMs through the Allpoint® ATM network. However, you can use any Provident ATM in our expanded network of more than 140 branches free of charge.
Will any branches close as a result of this merger?
While our Provident and Lakeland branch networks were largely complementary, there were twenty-two locations where overlap exists due to their close proximity to another branch. A careful and thorough review of our combined branch network was undertaken, and we have closed either a Provident branch or a Lakeland branch in cases where a single location can serve all of our customers. Affected customers were notified well in advance and offered multiple channels and resources to support their transition. All our customers may bank at any of Provident’s 140 branches across our newly expanded network, or through our ProvidentConnect Online Banking and Mobile Banking platforms. We will continue our commitment to deliver exceptional customer experience through our team of dedicated employees.

I have deposit accounts at both banks. Is there anything I should know?
If you were a customer of both Provident and Lakeland, your accounts will be insured separately through the FDIC until six months after the legal closing date of May 16, 2024. For Certificates of Deposit (CDs), FDIC insurance will continue until the maturity date, even if the maturity date comes after the grace period. For CDs that mature during the six-month grace period, if you roll over your CD for the same term and in the same dollar amount, it will be insured separately until the new maturity date. Nonetheless, you should plan to speak with us now that your accounts have transitioned. We may be able to link your accounts to help satisfy any minimum balance requirements and review the ownership category and titling of your accounts to ensure that you continue to qualify for the maximum FDIC coverage allowed by law.
Where can I find out more?
For additional information about the transition of your former Lakeland accounts and services, reach out to your branch representatives or call 800.448.7768.
