Favre Joins Provident Bank as Senior Vice President, Deputy Lending Officer

Larry FavreLarry Favre of Metuchen, N.J. has joined Provident Bank as Senior Vice President, Deputy Lending Officer in the bank’s Lending Division.  In this newly created position, he will be responsible for assisting with the review and approval of commercial loans.  In addition, Favre will be actively involved with the bank’s Relationship Managers to help structure new and existing commercial loans, meeting with customers, reviewing term sheets and supporting loan approvals. 

“I am pleased to add Larry to our Commercial Lending team.  He brings with him extensive expertise in lending and a keen understanding of the credit needs of businesses, which will greatly enhance our efforts to maintain exceptional credit quality and continued growth of our commercial loan portfolio,” said Don Blum, Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer, Provident Bank.

Favre has over 25 years’ experience in commercial credit and lending, and most recently was Senior Vice President, Senior Credit Officer with Valley National Bank, where he was a member of the bank’s Senior Loan Committee.  He has held senior leadership positions with J.P. Morgan Chase, First Niagara Bank, FleetBoston, and GE Capital.  Favre holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut.
