Moran Joins Provident Bank as Executive Vice President, Director of Retail Banking
Provident Bank is pleased to announce that Josephine Moran of Newtown, Conn. has joined the bank as Executive Vice President and Director of Retail Banking.
In this position, Moran will provide leadership and direction to the Bank’s Retail Branch Network, Sales Administration, Sales Training, and Investment Services. In addition, she will develop and manage the execution of the Retail Banking Group’s overall strategy and business development plans. As a member of the Bank’s Executive Management Team, Moran will contribute to the attainment of the Bank’s business plan goals and the refinement of the Bank’s strategic direction.

Moran has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President, Regional Manager, Retirement Services Director with Webster Bank of Southington, Conn., where she provided leadership and strategic direction to the Western Region of Webster’s Investment Services. Prior to that, she was Executive Vice President/Director of Retail Banking with Columbia Bank, Fairlawn, N.J. Moran has also held senior retail banking leadership positions with Santander Bank, Wells Fargo Company, and Wachovia Bank.
Moran holds a B.S. in marketing and management from The Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, N.Y., and earned an M.S. in finance and financial services from the University of New Haven, Orange, Conn. In addition, she holds Series 7 and 63 licenses, and is currently pursuing an Executive M.B.A at the University of New Haven.
Moran’s community involvement and professional memberships include: Chairperson, College of Business Advisory Board and Co-Chair, College of Business Charger Challenge Fundraising Campaign, University of New Haven; Member, Women in Leadership Committee, University of New Haven; Board of Directors, Business Women’s Forum, Waterbury Chamber of Commerce; Board of Directors, EverWonder Children’s Museum, Newtown; Certified Mentor, Danbury, Conn.
