The Provident Bank Hosts Glam Night for Valley Youth House Great Beginnings Maternity Group Home in Lehigh Valley

A team from The Provident Bank hosted a Glam Night for residents of the Valley Youth House Great Beginnings Maternity Group Home as part of the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley’s 2016 Volunteer Challenge. Residents were invited to Ambre Studio in historic Bethlehem for a buffet, “mocktails,” and a photo shoot.

Provident Bank employees, including Regional President and Valley Youth House board member June Webre, assisted women with hair and makeup styling, served food and beverages, and entertained the children. Photography duo Dave and Vanessa Rivera of DVR Photography donated 15-minute photo shoots, editing, and finished proofs. Also assisting from Valley Youth House were Andrew Palomo, Research and Evaluation Coordinator &

Program Supervisor for Great Beginnings, and Emily Conners, Development Associate.

At the end of the evening, participants received gift bags with Provident Bank sport bottles, wildflowers, and beauty products, including natural body lotions from The Frosting Company of Nazareth, Pa., and various cosmetics donated by fashion PR agency BPCM.

The project culminated on May 24, with participating groups of the Volunteer Challenge displaying their projects at Coca-Cola Park. Bank employees including Webre, Market Manager Darlene Funesti and Events Administrator Andrea Reid were joined by Jane Kurek and Shaunna Murphy of the Provident Bank Foundation, which was the Presenting Sponsor of the celebration. Also in attendance were several representatives from Valley Youth House, including CEO Tom Harrington and VP of Development & Marketing Christina Schoemaker, and Provident Bank Foundation and former Volunteer Challenge chairperson Bob Rupel.
