CENTRO DE SERVICIO
Provident Bank and The Provident Bank Foundation (PBF) have jointly committed $7,500 as a Premier Sponsor of the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley’s 2017 Volunteer Challenge. The Volunteer Challenge is an invitation-only corporate competition in which company-sponsored teams conceive, design and complete projects benefitting local nonprofit agencies. Projects are either selected by the organization or identified by the Volunteer Center.
The 2017 Challenge project will benefit the Easton Area Neighborhood Center and the RoofOver Transitional Housing Shelter, a facility that provides housing as well as case management tailored by family. Provident Bank’s Lehigh Valley Regional President June Webre is serving as the chairperson for this year’s Challenge and Andrea Reid, Provident Bank’s Events & Community Relations Administrator, is a member of the Challenge committee. This is Provident Bank’s third year completing a Challenge project. Previous projects benefitted Habitat for Humanity and Valley Youth House.
“The Easton Area Neighborhood Center is near and dear to our hearts. The funds raised from the Challenge project will go toward replacing the floor in their community center,” said Webre. “This Challenge project was an ideal way for us to demonstrate our commitment to the Easton Area Neighborhood Center and the many services and programs they provide to low-income individuals and families living in and around Easton,” added Webre.
The Volunteer Center aims to engage the community to care for one another through volunteerism by being the Lehigh Valley’s premier resource to connect willing individuals and companies with the nonprofit agencies that need assistance. The Challenge culminates with a celebration including all project teams and agencies, which will be held on Tuesday, May 16 at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks.
